If anybody's still up in another couple of hours time there's a full occultation of the Pleiades coming. Here's an image I took about 20 mins ago.

That's a gorgeous image of the Moon and Pleiades conjunction John. Great exposure, focus, detail, and you even have earthshine too so late in the lunar month. The patchy cloud with corona fragments really set if off. Excellent!
I'm embarrassed to say that I forgot about this event so thanks for the reminder!. Will see what I can get if it clears here. Main occultation of the Seven Sisters is at 03.00 UT but low in the sky..maybe I will get a chance to see that.

Good shots, John and Martin.  The Pleiades were below horizon here, but anyway I'm clouded out for a long period now.
