The Sun has a nice active area from the new cycle (high Northern latitude). Well worth having a look at.

White light, 1116 UT, 80mm refractor at f/12

Hydrogen alpha, 1127 UT, SV60 at f/16

Calcium K, 1133 UT, PST at f/20

And here's the CaK whole disc image, at 1137 UT, to put the active area into context

All images made with DMK 41AU02.AS camera, processed in Registax, colorized in Photoshop Elements 5.

Great shooting Brian!!. It's nice to see solar captures in three different wavelengths!.

I got a look at 1007 today in white light. It was quite a nice group with a long 'tail' of small spots extending from the western most spot and pointing to the other. I see this group has fired a B-class flare.
