Nice images Jonathan. BTW, there is something wrong with the horizon in your first image

BTW, there is something wrong with the horizon in your first image Why worry about minor things like the horizon - the shot is beautifully composed, with Cassiopeia, Perseus, the Double Cluster, the Pleiades ad M31 all shown nicely. Even M33 is just visible on the extreme right of the frame.

Lovely shots Jonathan, I see you've even picked up the Wild Duck Cluster (M11) in No 2.

Jonathan, very nice to see you here! Great shots both, but #1 with M45 rising out of the murk is quite excellent.
Cheers,
Paul.

Both are great but number one gets top marks. Nice composition, good focus, very natural looking image. Love the wide field vertical style. Good length to M31 and of course M45 really sets it off. I think in this case the crazy tilt of the horizon adds to the image. ,
