An Iceland trip is on my agenda, Mark.I'd rather go with a Tour than arrive and wonder where to go and how to get there etc. With the peak of activity in 2013 between now (tester trip) and then will be ok. so time to plan/research.

Best place to start with is the IcelandAir website - sign up to their email list then they will send you all the offers etc. We've always used IcelandAir - you can either buy various parts of the package seperately from them or buy the whole caboodle, flights, hotel, transfers, tours etc.
