I love # 1, the clouds really dim the brightness of the Moon so as to see M45 and it's comparative size.

Ahhh, very nice indeed!, the first image is beautiful, I love everything about it, the quality of light and colour with the blacks is really magical. The drifting clouds really set it off with the contrast and depth. Can see those pillars on the last one, there must have been ice crystals falling from those clouds, almost looks like virga.

Excellent images there John, the motion in the clouds on the first one really do enhance the entire picture, the Seven Sisters look great with the Moon.
Thanks
Anthony

Thanks all for the kind comments, it was one of those images where everything went wright for a change, the clouds worked in my favor as well. It's a pity though I didn't get an image of me taking it, nothing on but pullover/trousers and slippers, and nearly burned my tea as well. The things we do for an image.

Not really much that I can add over what everyone else has said John. Some real stunners there and a great example to illustrate that clouds are not always the bane for us amateur astronomers.
