Such a beautiful setting and village, tucked up in the coastal hills. Looks to be quite a low tide when these were taken. I love the cobble stone streets. Is there any parking uphill or is this strictly accessed by boat? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Richard, it was low tide when the images were taken when the tide turns it comes right the way to the front of the houses and looks totally different. There is visitor parking at the top of the hill, you now have to pay an entrance fee as you pass through the visitor centre and then you can take the long walk through the village to the quay, if you don’t fancy the walk back they operate a Land Rover service back to the car park via a single track road. The visitor centre has not always been their its purely a finical means of making money to maintain the village.
Thanks
Anthony

Lovely images Anton, but I don't think those steep hills would do my old ticker and favours!

I can totally relate to that one John, not sure how the locals cope with the cobbles each day especially when returning from the pub after a few jars

Depends where the pub is Anton, if it's at the top I suggest they just roll down Not so sure how they get up the hill though!

Beautiful place and a great write up to support it's obvious visual merits Anton . I love those cobbled streets and the striking narrow paths, looks like a good place for a scene in a James Bond movie. I like your description of the post-sunset enviornment, that sounds perfect to me with nice people around. Nice big anvil over the sea in image 2

I bet you could drive past that village on the top and not know it was there..I'm sure there was a storm there one year that washed some of the lower houses into the sea-Lovely pics.
