Actually I was using the wee scope because I thought it would be better for a last go at Mercury in full sunlight - the tube is white & the objective is better shielded than my SCT. Didn't find Mercury, it really gets faint once it's moving in towards inferior conjunction. Still got some useful information about better ways to go about getting Venus with the SCT ... next time it's reasonably clear she'd better be dressed decently! Wink
