I took the camera for a 'walk' up cave hill this morning and was greeted with stunning clear views i thought i would post them up here, the path up was treacherous with ice but it was worth the effort.

More of a sort of cap over Slieve Commedagh; seems odd why that mountain has a "tablecloth" whilst the others don't. Possibly the way the wind funnels up the Glen River valley & hits the headwall on that side when there's some easterly in it.

Nice shots Brian!  I guess you could call it a pileus cloud if its possible for these to form over topography and not just other clouds?

Great shots Jonathan, really love # 2. It's a little clearer there than my photo of downtown L.A.

Thanks - noted that re. cap cloud. Also an anvil to the right of that. Actually, the more you look at that image the more variations you see.

Very nice Jonathan, no2 is my fav as well with those interesting cloud formations great spot that for photography, you should head up there at every opportunity.
