Faint but structured NLC display observed from Scotland last night (May 28/29th) making this the first UK sighting. I thought I observed something at 23.50 BST far below Capella in the form of faint white bands but I couldn't get it confirmed. Unfortunately this high presssue is concerning me due to the amount of mist/fog and murky conditions which arrived after midnight destroying the sky for NLC observation. This could get even worse on the nights ahead
..certainly won't be putting me off trying tonight though.
