I've been experimenting with my new EF50mm prime. This is one of my first Astro shots with it. Taken at about 1930, and to my eyes the sky was good and dark... the camera thought otherwise... Anyway, Iridium 57 Mag -3

Great image John. It's amazing how much reflected light the sensors can capture from the setting sun even when it's 11/2 to 2 hours below the horizon.

That's a gorgeous flare John and the blue sky really sets it off!. Great stuff. The 50mm is a wonderful lens - although I don't have one myself.  Smiley

Superb flare, John!  Smiley
What was the exposure which made it in blue?

Thanks guys.

Martin, for the money, ie not a lot, it's surprisingly versatile, far more than I expected a prime to be.

Roman, the EXIF is intact and in the border, but it was 30s, f2.8 ISO200
