Nice one martin on space weather i have never seen anything like that before.

we have had fog all day there is no wind about to blow it away cold as well.

Space weather is reporting a massive fire ball which turned night in to day they are saying this was not a leonid but a possible asteriod should be interesting to see if any meteorites are found.

I heard on the weather forecast this evening heavy rain for the north with the west expected to get 1to3 inches of rain looks like the rivers are going to be full again.

Thanks everyone for the replies with ref to big dipper yes you are correct it is simon sloane he and another member stevie did an all nighter and watched
orion rising in the wee small hours i left around midnight,it was one of those nights that was just perfect.

Last night 4 of us went down to simons observing site at bragan mountain just outside clougher in co. monaghan.
The views where outstanding with the milky way towering overhead i took a few pics to give an idea of what we saw Smiley

Hi Martin i only seen one object from here it was very low and short lived with clear skies forecast iam sure you will get a good
