Title: Star Trail
Post by: Anton on August 09, 2011, 01:55:39 am
Just taken advantage of reasonable observing conditions and finished the evening by taking a few images to create a star trail.

Great shot Anton. I really like these circumpolar shots and your telescope and the satellite really add to the total image.

Looks like we were out at around the same time Anton!

10/10 for composition with the silhouetted scope in the foreground. (http://www.mackenzie1963.freeserve.co.uk/Smilies/AMac%27s/fing02%5B1%5D.gif)

Thanks all for the comments will go for the same setup again soon, I lost half the images taken because of dew forming on the lens so I have just made a heated dew shield in true Blue Peter style  ;D

Great star trail image Anton am i right in saying that you've done very little if any processing,
the reason i ask is that you captured a lot of faint stars that when brought out would really
fill the trails out but fab image either way nice work :)
