Title: Stars from a view point Post by: jjb on October 31, 2010, 08:48:15 pm Well to be more precise from the knockagh monument overlooking belfast lough it really does show how bad the lights of the city are from an astronomers point of view.
the first image is of the iss coming over divis mountain and fireworks going off in the fore ground,the rest are of the monument itself and looking northwards towards carrick and the mouth of the lough. jonathan. I especially like the shot of the nighttime Milky Way sky looking up at the Knockagh Monument, that's an exceptional view. That is a very tough sky for observing, but the views somewhat make up for it in a way. Thanks
