Title: Great Nebula Orion Post by: Anton on October 30, 2010, 11:04:32 am Following Friday nights imaging session the sky still remained cloudy until the early hours of today when the sky was clear and crisp so not whishing to miss an opportunity the camera was unpacked and mounted to the tripod for a few images of Orion. It was around 4:30am so had a brilliant 20mins or so just observing Orion. The image below was taken with a 35mm lens F/1.8 ISO 800.

Amazing meteor activity recently, I have been observing fireballs on every clear night, including last night, they are either late Orionids or early Taurids. It's getting to be that time of year when the winter contellations are peeking above the late evening sky. Now I can only hope for clearing weather to do some imaging!
