Title: Convection/thunderstorm 25/4/10
Post by: paulster78 on April 25, 2010, 08:53:49 pm
Some shots of convection and a storm in the far distance from Pigeon Top. As all the action was happening further east I was determined to catch something so headed out and observed for one and a half hours. Nice looking CB in the first shot which may or may not have produced some lightning but its around the same area as a plot on the Sferics chart.     Was great to see some clouds bubbling up again!  :)

Beautiful convection as noted. Great spot to catch all the action in the distance!

Excellent stuff Paul, glad to see you went out chasing anyway, it was certainly worth it to get images like those, lovely stout convection and crisp towers exploding up in the clear air. Nice solid base in the last one which looks great for funnel watching. Wouldn't be surprised if the first one had produced t-storm sferics. Glad you had a good day, you did much better than me.
