Title: A few evening shots
Post by: rjgjr on April 18, 2010, 08:07:41 am
Have really been admiring the ash cloud images that have been posted, maybe in a month or more here in North America, if it even gets here! Just a couple of shots from this evening.

Looking out over an approaching cloud bank

There is an interesting sun pillar here bit I couldn't get it to show up very well on image, much better in person.

My only somewhat clear view of the moon passing by Venus and M45 was tonight, a bit late but still pretty. An ocean full of crab boats tonight also.

Brilliant images Richard, thats a very low and uniform looking cloud bank and your sun pillar shows up pretty well.  :)

Wow, 2 and 3 are great Richard, what a view!. You just might get some of this ash over the US once the weather pattern changes.
