This is a capture of comet Kushida 144P on 20.1.09 imaged through a Tak 180 Astrograph with Canon 40D (cropped), 10x180 sec subs:

I’ve registered on the stars, the comet is showing distinct upward movement between single 3 minute captures.

Hi Malcolm, that's an excellent image of Kushida. Well done on getting such a good capture through the light pollution. I was impressed by the extent of the diffuse coma which you picked up. I wish you luck with Lulin when it gets a bit higher. Thanks for sharing the image.  Smiley

Thanks Martin. I checked Starry night pro software tonight and comet Lulin is well placed for me to image in the E sky in early Feb, should be interesting.
