I went up a different hill for this one. I've cropped out a lot of the foreground factories and houses so I think I prefer the other hill where the view to the horizon is just fields OR do factories and houses give another perspective ?

It's a different perspective and this one works for me John. Nice catch.

Either one would work for me with a sun like that!

Well, I'll go there again then - thanks. It turned out a lot better than I had anticipated , re. the exposure. No such sunset tonight though.

That is one great shot.

That would look great up on the living room wall.

I like the colours over the town.

Nice

I can send you full size if you wanted ,Stuart and you can print it. I'm not bothered about things like that, I take it as a compliment. I've had two requests re. photos of my US Tour- one person wanted one as a desktop background and the other wanted to make a poster of an unusual lightning strike to hang in  his computer (study) room .

That's wonderful John. You have the 'sun illusion effect' captured very well. The solar disk looks gigantic in comparison to the foregroud. A very pleasing image and one to be proud of.  Smiley
