Here's a few more images of the spectacular volcanic sunset after-glow I observed on Dec 27th at Ballyronan Marina on the NW shore of Lough Neagh. It lasted for a very long time. The colours are untouched. Images taken at various stages. Venus is to the upper L. It's the best I have ever seen.

Lovely sunset, duck and jet contrail all play a part in the beautiful scene.

There's some truly magnificent shots in this thread! I too find the shores of Lough Neagh excellent as a venue for capturing great sunsets - at the right time of year I can just pop down there straight from work!
