Sure but most of the ancient ones are pretty obviously a group ... learn half a dozen in different parts of the sky that you can use as signposts & the rest is easy.

I challenge anyone to pick out Camelopardis as a group though - it's a big diffuse patch which looks empty in a suburban sky as there are no stars brighter than mag 4 - when star hopping in Cam I start from Auriga or Perseus as there is usually nothing obvious to start from.
