I forgot to post these beautiful photos... These shots were taken on the morning of August 09, 2008 at the beach of the Black Sea in Feodosiya, Crimea. The sun rised above the waters of the Bay of the Feodosiya (not exactly above the water - you can see in close-up photos a little strip of a land - it is Kerch peninsula, ~25km away and 20...50m above the sea level. On one of the clear mornings I got up very early (before 4AM) and went to the beach to meet the Sun. I wasn't alone there but I was the only man with a camera I arrived at the beach at 4:00AM (EEST). There were already no signs of the night, but it was very peaceful outside. Have a look on it... Also I had a nice capture of the ship then.

Thanks, Steve, but that's not all. Very soon (4:40) the Sun became much brighter and more usual-looking "Sunrise ship" "Sunrise bird" and my favourite are the reflections...

P.S. The sunrise wasn't the only beauty on the beach. The same place in the evening And the lunar reflections on water (it was 20 minutes before Aug.16 eclipse )

Great shots Roman! Living on the coast I take many sunset photos and thoroughly enjoy the solitude and beauty of each event.

Lovely selection of images Roman, unfortunately as I'm not close to the coast I don't see the beauty of sunrise and sunset like those.

Thanks John. I live 500km away from the seacoast - what I can say?... But I have a luck to live just few hundred meters from Vorskla river.

Lovely set of photos- We mainly take photos of sunsets so it's good to see someone up bright and early which it would be in August. The last one is quite haunting.

You mean the nighttime shot? Funny that it wasn't my target to compose that shot with the lunar reflection, boat and the distant ship (and also with 2 persons in the water which are hardly visible in dark) . I simply needed to waste my time before eclipse start

Lovely set of shots Roman, they're great. I've not seen the sun looking like that.

Thanks, John (jgs001). Can you believe, I also haven't seen the sunrise in such a beautiful appearance like that one.
