We had very nasty and dense freezing fog on Saturday which never lfited at all during the day creating very dangerous driving conditions. Here's a few not very good images taken through the car window in Gulladuff, as we headed for Ballymena. When I decided to take an image the fog began to break so they don't look as impressive, as it was, only min's before this.

I had nearly the same on this evening (~19h).

But today's fog was possibly the first noticeable fog in November (oh, yeah, now as I'm writing it is already December  Grin ). Generally, this year is very poor with foggy days.

I recall winter 2006/7 with 15 days with noticeable fog. Sometimes the fog was so dense that visibility falled to 30-50m!

When I lived near Derby in the 1960s I'd have called that light mist. I remember walking home from school, being glad that I knew the way as the fog was so dense that I couldn't see my own feet - just about my hands if I held my arms out straight. Traffic was, of course, nil - absolutely impossible to drive anywhere. Sometimes we got <5 yards (4.5 metres) visibility for days at a time.

Makes me feel cold just looking at them. Looks like a rural area where you live, Martin.
