I had nearly the same on this evening (~19h). But today's fog was possibly the first noticeable fog in November (oh, yeah, now as I'm writing it is already December ). Generally, this year is very poor with foggy days. I recall winter 2006/7 with 15 days with noticeable fog. Sometimes the fog was so dense that visibility falled to 30-50m!

Sometimes the fog was so dense that visibility falled to 30-50m! When I lived near Derby in the 1960s I'd have called that light mist. I remember walking home from school, being glad that I knew the way as the fog was so dense that I couldn't see my own feet - just about my hands if I held my arms out straight. Traffic was, of course, nil - absolutely impossible to drive anywhere. Sometimes we got <5 yards (4.5 metres) visibility for days at a time.

I can hardly imagine that...

Makes me feel cold just looking at them. Looks like a rural area where you live, Martin.
