I'm very much looking forward to both these events Paul. With luck on our side we may even have good weather and clear skies by then. I will be observing the solar eclipse from home although I'm tempted to retreat to a country location for a better experience. Might organize an observing session for the lunar eclipse. I will be observing both visually through my 90mm ETX and taking some 10x optical zoom basic static camera shots with baader filter (solar). For the lunar I intend to find a good horizon and catch the Moon on the rise with Moon illusion and eclipse already in progress. This should be good fun. Throw in the Perseids and August looks to be a good month.
