Here's a shot of Orion taken on Oct 27th at 05:37BST. 50mm1.8 lens at f2, 10 second exposure on ISO 1600.

That's a good shot John - you've got M42 and M43 visible as separate entities there, and the Flame!

Lovely capture John. Impressive detail for a 10 sec exposure. That 50mm lens is soo fast!. Flame looks good with dark nebulosity disecting the glow. Look forward to your results with the driven exposures. Worth trying now late in the night before the Moon grows.
