John, there's some very nice shots - I used to be a regular at the Goodwood Revivals when I lived in London - until 5 years ago.

You have mastered rule one of air display photography - the tops of planes look more interesting than the undersides - very well caught!

Two, I think - PA414 the BBMF Lanc which you've captured & one in Canada. (Might sound odd but a lot of Canadians fought & died in RAF Bomber Command, many in Lancs.)

There is another Lanc in Yorkshire (at the old Elvingdon airfield, partially restored as a museum), privately owned, appears in documentaries etc. on a regular basis & is in "running condition" - allowed to taxi but not airworthy. I believe there are plans to restore it to flying condition - let's hope the money is found as there are few enough tributes to the 55,000 brave airmen who served and died in RAF Bomber Command. Sure, the area bombing policy is now controversial, but it had massive public support at the time, and in any case the airmen (most of whom were 19, 20 or 21) were not responsible for the policy.

Thanks very much gents.  This was my second year attending the revival, and the first time with the dSLR and having a vague idea of what results I was aiming for in my photos.

Great action shots John. Love the 2nd and 2rd images. No 3 gives the impression you took that image from another plane level with the bomber!

Fantastic shots John, image #2 of the Hawer Hurricane is great, #2 is amazing and the racing cars shots make you feel that you are there with the way you have captured the motion...  Smiley
