Great shots Martin, I really like the first one that shows the structure and colors in the wing, very up close for a 18-55mm.

Thanks very much Richard, the Canon kit lens has a very bad macro system I have to admit so for these I stepped back a little and zoomed in, then cropped the final result. The Bee then made it back outside to safety so it was a happy ending.

That’s pretty impressive for this lens, I have tried a few macro shots with my 18 – 55 kit lens but never mange to capture that much detail.

Thanks Mark and Anton, yea the macro on that lens is rubbish but sometimes you can get lucky with the rite subject, cheers
