I looked up to see this unusual contrail whilst at the  RAF Fairford Airshow  this weekend.

A very interesing effect indeed. I'm no aviation expert but it must be the jet flying at the same altitude as the clouds and disrupting the air like a knife cutting through butter or something like that.

Cheers Richard . It could have been this A10 Tankbuster which was flying around at the time and went quite high.
