We've been doing a lot of Spring Cleanup in the yard since the rains have finally let up, but still enough time to gather some photos from time to time.

Our cat KiKi on the prowel.

The Lupine are blooming all over the area.

Rainbow Rock Beach

The wreak of the Mary D. Hume at low tide. Not a very dramatic story, the owner just abondoned it there about 40 years ago.

The Canon  55-250 mm does a pretty good job on closeups!

Excellent Richard, very sharp on the shot of Kiki and great colour.  My favourite is the boat image half covered in algae-great stuff  Smiley

Excellent Richard!, the image of the boat is amazing, that's the kind of scene I love. Could it be worth shooting at night with stars?

Great set Richard and I agree with Martin the boat would be ideal foreground for a star filled sky or even try setting the camera to take multiple images every 30 seconds or so and then stack them in http://www.startrails.de/html/software.html for a star trail image that would look stunning. Would be good to see a black & white version too.

Thanks

Catching up here. Love the Kiki photo but then we're cat people-they really have a presence  about them, don't they. A great set considering you call them mishmash. The boat is particularly attractive,no doubt due to the strong green of the seaweed. and a very good Macro too and attractive low heather shot-the coast  shot needs no comment  I haven't made before as I really enjoy those. Keep them coming,Richard.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have thought about using the boat in a night shot with stars, though the surroundings there are very bright at night, light pollution wise. I guess I won't know until I give it a try one of these nights. This was a very low tide so I was able to walk within 20' of the boat, usually I'm limited to about 100' at normal tides. Anton, I've posted a shot here in a slight sepia tone, I think it fits the condition of the Mary D. Hume a bit more.
