http://sat24.com/There is significant earthquake activity and lightning in the ash cloud which has already risen 6km in just over an hour. Initial reports indicate this could be the largest icelandic eruption for 15 years...
Now, the interesting bit. Winds in Iceland are currently northerly and as next week comes are expected to turn north westerley, which, you've guessed it should send the ash cloud squarely in our direction. Who knows if there will be an impact in the aviation world, but with pressure set to rise over the british isles next week just maybe we will get ourselves some volcanic sunsets...
