Been frustrating for me lately regards solar imaging - it's either sunny when i'm at work, or when i'm not at my scope.   The unsettled airstream that seems to be upon us brings nothing but showers, and if it isn't raining it's cloudy!  Anyway, this morning there was a couple of hour window of blue skies before the heat of the sun started setting off bubbling cumulus and eventually showers.

The sun has been really active earlier this week, and whilst today it is alot quieter there is still plenty to see at a range of wavelengths...

First off in Hydrogen Alpha, there are plenty of proms and filaments...

Next at CaK wavelenths, the sun is a seething sea of energy...

In whitelight the only spots of note were associated with Active Region 11234...

Hope you like them!  I just hope the weather obliges and lets me get somemore imaging in sooner rather than later!

Fascinating images Mark, I can understand the frustrating times but when you manage to capture such great detail its well worth the wait.

Thanks
