What a day of storms here in N.Ireland! I couldn't chase today so mother nature was kind and delivered the goods to me. A storm rolled in over Omagh after lunchtime with a large number of c-g and c-c bolts observed very close-by, almost overhead! Some of the strikes were blinding with almost instant thunder. Skies remained dark all evening out to the east were storms were ongoing and looked huge on satellite pics over Cookstown and Lough Neagh. I positioned myself up on pigeon top after 6:30 as another cell was approaching from the SW and looked good on radar. No sparks from this one as it was running out of steam but some nice structure was observed-will put some pics up tomorrow.
