Suresh, that is absolutely superb, there's loads of detail there!

Now then some may think I'm going slightly bananas at this point, but I looked at the image and immediately saw a face in it, and I thought "That's Norman Lamont" (Chancellor of the Exchequer in the early 1990s).

Here's the comparison....

Can anyone else see it or is just my imagination working overtime??

Very nice image Dr Suresh. A wealth of detail on there. Is that a division in the polar cap?. Looks very striking!  Smiley

Hi Suresh,

Well done on a fine image you can see why they call it the face of Mars. I still have loads of Mars images to process just don't have the time. You got plenty of detail  and the ice caps. One thing I've learned Mars may be close to us but is the most difficult planet to image. Keep it up.

Carl.

Nice photo, Suresh.  Even if I don't see any face there as Paul does.  Wink

My "last" Mars this year was on July,12 when it was in conjunction with Saturn. Here's an image link http://poltava-astro.narod.ru/galleries/planets_080712_3.jpg
