Taken with 400mm at Portrush earlier this week. A strong wave caught this surfer off guard and hurled him high into the air upside down.

Wow!  Thats a great shot but looks like it could be painfull for the surfer!

Brilliant ! Right place, right time. I wonder where you could send that,Martin At least the local paper .Try a magazine - a surfer's magazine, I'm sure they'd pay you for it.-the surfers would love to see that. I had a look-here's one  http://www.surfermag.com/photos/

Sorry for the late response John, the surfer idea is excelllent, I might just look into that, thank you for your help. I sent the image into the BBC but they were not interested.

Sorry Martin, I missed this was, that’s an excellent action shot a real keeper that one. I agree with John I think the manufactures of the surfboard would be interested to use this in marketing their boards you can clearly see there name on the board. I bet the dude would like that shot.
