As I was standing over the seal pens I caught this fella on the scrounge for fish as they threw them to the seals. Often the gulls would catch a fish-herring,mackeral- as it was being thrown to the seals  and swallow it whole.

Thanks - I'm very pleasesd with it myself -. I forgot to mention that I was above the  seal pens at about 8 metres  so it flew by at my eye level which makes a lot of difference.You can get these shots with 8fps. (Canon 7D. The very expensive 1D 1V only takes another 2 per sec. so the 7D is good value in that respect )  It was taken at 1/000 sec. f5.6 ISO 250  and some luck  Grin
