These are wild seals in a Cove very close to the Godrevy Lighthouse on the north coast not far from St. Ives. You can't get down to them (fortunately for them) and the viewing spot is on top of a high cliff and there are notices asking that dogs be kept from running around (and barking presumably) and no shouting or noise from children otherwise it will cause them distress and they won't frequent this cove-they had been disturbed 8 times in an hour one day so I assume a warden had been on hand to witness that. You can see how well they blend into the rocks with the one heading into the sea.

Cheers both. I agree,Martin, worth the trip just to see this scene.I had been planning on going right the way across the country to the east coast (North Sea) to Donna Nook and may still go there because you are down at their level  and they pup between September 1st.  and December 31st. but there are strict rules about where you can go. I do have photos taken at the seal sanctuary which I'm sorting now. I used 10 CF cards including  16 and 32 GB's. The  2 biggies went on the  aircraft- I took too many lol.
