Thanks for the link John, I heard 200mph gusts are likely with this beast. A very serious and life threatening storm indeed.

They did well with the evacuation- not even any injuries. If anyone ever needed convincing that global weather is more severe these days this is it. Record after record i worldwide is being broken as these severe events become more frequent.

Saw the coverage this morning John, the news said there was a 201mph gust and not a single injury as you said. Goes to show the benefit of advance warnings and preparation doesn't. It's great to hear that this event ended on a happy note despite considerable damage.
