Hi all,
Just thought I'd share a photo with you all of the waxing gibbous moon last week. Went out with the scope to do some lunar webcam imaging, and while waiting for the scope to cool down, I took a few shots with the DSLR. Seeing was really good on the night.

Also, I was doing some reading about the actual color of the moon and some say there are various weak shade of differing colors, which by satuarating I was able to bring out. The colors seem to show differently on different monitors, I don't know if I overdone it a bit with the stauration. But sure you can let me know.

It's the first time I actually tried this type of lunar photography, usually it's all webcam imaging I do.

Image details:
Picture taken with a Canon 500d, in prime focus with a Celestron CPC 925.
1/50 sec, @F10, ISO 100.
It's a 2 piece mosaic, shot in RAW and processed in Camera Raw and merged in photoshop.

You've done an excellent job if this is one of your first prime focus images. The left side looks a bit overdone, on my monitor at least, but I'm no expert. But it's a beautiful shot none the less. Keep them coming!
