 I think a lot of wildlife has been lost, Martin-i t's doubly sad that some bird species  fly here to get away from  such severe weather  in the north east and east (Scandinavia and Russia) and that happens to them.

 We didn't lose any fish,Mark and having read that you have I can only think it was because we left the pump running so there was a circulation beneath the ice.
