Two shots of the sun setting over the Sperrin Mountains on Jan 18th using the Canon 100-400mm IS USM lens at 400mm hand held. This is close as I can get to a flat horizon to the SW.

Beautiful shots Martin. That lens sure does a fine job. Kind of hard to let go of it, huh?

Stunning colours there, Martin. The darkened cloud over the left side of the sun certainly enhances the photo .

Good work Martin, the clouds really do boost both images and the colours are fantastic.

Thanks
