I've been looking for some time now for a decent foam lined case for my 'new(ish)' 70mm refractor - I use it primarily for solar work, Hydrogen Alpha, though shortly I hope to have white light and later still in the year CaK capability all in the one scope. The idea is that I can put all of this in the one case, aswell as a complement of eyepieces and it will form a 'travel case' that I can take on holidays, camping trips etc to be used for daytime solar and then nighttime use aswell.
Well after much hunting around i think i've found what i'm looking for...

What makes these appealing to me is that they're longer than they are wide, compared to a normal ali flight case (guess they need to be long to fit a telescope!). Price wise they're pretty reasonable compared to the specific scope cases you can get from the astro retailers. Yes, you can get cases that are better build quality, however I expect this will go more in the boot of a car compared to the hold of a plane, and I don't want to be paying in the hundreds for a case. I just thought i'd share these with you all incase anyone is after a case like this also
Mark.
