This is the longest icicle I have ever seen in my life, spotted it today on Christmas Eve in Maghera hanging froma roof down an alleyway, this was more than 6ft long and of considerable thickness - what a beast.

Thanks for the replies guys, it was a sight to behold in the flesh, I love the widowmaker name lol. I'm going to miss all these remarkable sights when the thaw sets in.
