HI all,

Just a heads up myself Dave Grennan & Gary Clarke are heading over to do an episode of the sky at night on the 19th of September at Sir Patrick's house. If anyone wants to send well wishes, cards or anything at all just let me know and we will hand it to him personally.

Carl.

Gentlemen,

Enjoy the trip. Sir Patrick doesn't know me but of course like so many of us he has been an inspiration to me starting with the 1968 edition of "The Observers Guide to Astronomy" through his 60th birthday tour when he talked to us as students in 1983 - 400 of us in a lecture theatre and the first thing he does is announces he doesn't need the PA! Then I saw him speak on his 80th birthday tour in Guildford in Jan 2003. So please pass on my regards.

P
