Didn't notice tonights 22 degree moon halo until i was putting the dog out at 01:45 so i quickly set up the camera for a few shots. Wish i had seen it earlier and i would have went out and tried for something a bit more creative.

Just squeezed into 18mm frame

LP enhanced by the fog

Great catch Paul, and not easy with the fog and LP about, you picked up the colours very well indeed, glad you were out shooting the display, it's great to know that others are out imaging these optics too. I was hoping you and John were out with the camera - I was not disappointed  Smiley, it's difficult to get them into the 18mm frame isn't it.

Watched a stunning moon rise this evening over a flat horizon, it was like a giant moonrise over the African planes - incredible.

Thanks all! Its a tight fit all right Martin, on my camera with a 95% viewfinder all i could do was place the centre focus point on the moon and take the shot.  The moonrise sounds cool-i know you got images? Smiley

I didn't this time  Cry, I was out walking my Dog at the time and had no camera, however even if I did it would have been of no use as I would need a 300mm or 400mm lens for a decent image. The visual scene was outstanding!!, just one of those special sights when everything was perfect  Smiley
