I awoke to a very bright window this morning, considering all the storms we had move through yesterday afternoon and last night. I looked out the window facing north and the sun was just glaring off some huge updrafts, So I jumped into my clothes and headed out to the car and off I went. Didn't even feed the cat, which I paid for later. We've had some snow flurries today which is very unusual and expecting a small accumulation of snow tonight. We'll see what it brings.

There is a bit of mammatus trying to form at the lower left.

These are lovely and dynamic weather images Richard, I can almost feel the wind blowing off the sea at me just from looking at them. Nice job catching the segment of bow, I love the 3rd image down showing the wide angle cloud structure with convection/updraughts to the R of the bow - beautiful. Nice virga in the first image too. These images make me want to get back to the N coast again myself.  Smiley

Some beautiful shots there Richard. You've captured some lovely colours there, too. As Paul says, worth jumping out of bed for!

Didn't even feed the cat, which I paid for later.
Let that be an important lesson to you, priority-wise, for any future early morning trips!   Grin Grin
