Friends,

Here is Ring Nebula which I shot from a  farm house with approaching thunderstorm and lightning . We also stopped by  on the roadside to photograph mercury with the 10 inch.We saw clouds approaching us,accuweather predicted a thunderstorm. We went to the farm house set up scope and we were covered by black clouds. It cleared however and I was able to image ring nebula. Next I aimed my scope towards helix nebula but clouds came again, this time we packed up and on the return journey visibility due to rain was 10 feet for a few minutes.

That's a lovely image, I wouldn't mind the odd approaching thunderstorm if I got skies like that reasonably often!

Suresh, how are you! The first link takes me to M27, the Dumbbell, the second to M57, the Ring. They're both splendid images. Think, 20 years ago the best 'scopes on the planet were about this good!

Keep up the good work.

Clear skies,

Paul.

Hey Suresh, enjoy the talk! That looks like an excellnt few days you've got lined up there. I see you're sharing the platform with Anthony Ayiomamitis from Athens - Anto is well known to many of us in Irish Astronomy as he is very active on the IFAS group - please say hello from me!
