Hi Richard, it was low tide when the images were taken when the tide turns it comes right the way to the front of the houses and looks totally different. There is visitor parking at the top of the hill, you now have to pay an entrance fee as you pass through the visitor centre and then you can take the long walk through the village to the quay, if you don’t fancy the walk back they operate a Land Rover service back to the car park via a single track road. The visitor centre has not always been their its purely a finical means of making money to maintain the village.
