My south facing windows taking a real battering from the rain and the higher gusts are whistling through the windows!  Some real strong rainfall echoes over you at the minute Martin.

Conor was reporting snow on Glenshane earlier and lightning flashes!

Seems to be calming now but radar showing lots of post frontal showers, some could turn into storms...

Yeah, the met office has snow mentioned in a few places in its latest weather warning.  A couple of storms like this coming through mid to late winter could make things quite interesting for us as far as the white stuff goes.  Wind is just starting to get up for me and have the first few drops of rain on the window now, lots of bright echoes on the radar, and those showers do look beefy coming in behind.  I think there won't be many leaves left on the trees come this time tomorrow...

It was not particularly wet or windy for me, certainly not as much as I expected - lots of trees still have leaves on...

...saw the worst flooding I have ever seen last night on the country roads where the small rivers/streams burst their banks and cross the road.

After a brief respite this morning - some sunshine even - the wind and rain is now very much back on.

Barometer is sitting around 950 - never seen it so low!
