I've been away for about 4 weeks in Southern California for my son's wedding and then the subsequent dog and house sitting during the honeymoon. Have been following the forum but that's about. Lot's of interesting photo's have been posted so I'll throw mine in for good measure. We came back my favorite route up 395 along the Sierra Nevada and couldn't have asked for better timing on sunrise and the beginning of the Aspen Trees showing their colors.

The Mt Whitney Crest and Alabama Hills.

Stunning, stunning, stunning...the light in 2, 3 and 4 is amazing. Love the vivid colours in the trees and the amazing reflections. Stuck for words - wonderful landscape photography  Smiley

Absolutely wonderful,Richard.  You've not only got the Fall colours but the sunset on the mountains too. Superb. I think I'll have to put the Fall on our list - we'd stay  on Eastern Board though (3000 miles less to travel ) in New England and Virginia.
