Visited our local Barn Owl Rescue centre on Friday and took 836 shots.(owls, and a buzzard) They were taken in the fields around the Centre (they own the fields). This Barn Owl was brought to them  starving ,11 years ago in a shoe box .It's 12 now. They normally die before they're two but the average is 4 but in a Centre like this they can go on to 20. I'll post these and start on the others.

Wow, these are absolutely beautiful John, top quality photography, love the shallow dof to throw the background out of focus, the Owls look perfectly exposed, and nice light/white balance/focus. Fabulous images of a fabulous Bird  Smiley

Thanks both. It certainly looks a very gracious bird and beautifully coloured.  Still working on the others.

Cheers, Mark. Got caught with the convection yesterday and now editing so hope to get a few more up from the Centre soon.

I sometimes  get like Martin says re. himself - a bit burnt out. I can stay on here for the rest of the day now so I'll get it sorted.
