Thunderstorms broke out over N. Ireland on Sat - Lough Neagh and N and E coasts, plenty of showers around with red echoes too. Had a local chase during the late evening with Declan O'Doherty and got treated to a stunning rainbow display during a clearance when the back of a cell with precip core caught the evening sun. The primary and secondary bows were complete, very bright, with rich colours and supernumerary arcs. Best I've scene this year, images don't do them justice, a 10mm lens would have been nice.

Thanks Richard, the pano looks great to me, you have put me in the mood for having a go at it myself with pano/stitching software - it's alot cheaper than a Canon 10-22mm lens  Smiley, thanks for posting it, you got my wheels turning now. Cheers.

Great rainbow pics Martin!

I've always found the stitching software that comes with the Canon software to be pretty good for joining photos.  If you're using a canon lens on the camera it will even compensate for lens distortions etc.  Its pretty clever stuff.

Beautiful shots Martin. I particularly like the bright fields contrasting with the dark sky in that first one and getting the rainbow as well has to be the icing on the cake.
